9:35 AM: Camping World Trucks are on the track. Kyle Busch fastest so far…

9:40 AM: Drafting practice is in full swing.  Kyle Busch, Colin Braun, Aric Almirola, Ron Hornaday Jr. and Mike Skinner are your Top 5. Austin Dillon is in the #3 Realtree Outfitters Chevrolet. Kinda cool seeing that 3 running around here.

10:15: Things have slowed down a bit, but about 7 Trucks just rolled out…Kyle Busch is still the fastest with Colin Braun, Aric Almirola, Ron Hornaday and Mike Skinner still your Top 5. 

10:25 AM: Jason White in the #23 GunBroker.com Dodge has just cracked the Top 5 on the speed charts here in the final practice for the Trucks. He sits 2nd behind Kyle Busch with Braun, Almirola and Hornaday rounding out the updated Top 5.

10:30 AM: Dover Motorsports, Inc. announced today that they will be closing Memphis Motorsports Park effective immediately. A NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event will move to the open date (April 2, 2010) and will accompany a Nationwide Series event (April 3, 2010) that same weekend at Nashville.

11:15 AM: Truck Series practice is over. Mike Skinner was the fastest with Mario Gosselin, Chad McCumbee, Ryan Hackett and Kyle Busch rounding out the Top 5. Six thru Ten are Jason White, Colin Braun, Aric Almirola, Ron Hornaday and Matt Crafton.

12:59 PM: Cup Boys are on the track…..

1:45 PM: Kahne and Hamlin are the fastest so far. They hooked up and ran identical times.  Also, the 83 seems to have encountered some damage somwhere out on the track.

2:01 PM: So far, so good. Looks like some guys are doing qualifying runs but there is a small pack of about 4 or 5 cars out there.

2:10 PM: I’m sure most of you have heard by now, but in case you haven’t, it was announced today that Lance McGrew will drop the “interim” title and become the permanent crew chief on the 88 from here on out.

2:20 PM: First practice is in the books and Kasey Kahne was the fastest. Other than the incident early on,and a few bumps and bruises along the way, it was a pretty clean first session.

2:30 PM Update: Clint Bowyer and the #33 team continue to work on the rear quarter panel of the car. Should be good to go for the final practice session. Also, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had a rear-end seal come loose and threw oil everywhere. The problem has been fixed and Junior got back out there and ran some laps as practiced came to a close

2:45 PM: Dodge unveils the new Challenger. It will run exclusively to Penske Racing and will run in 4 Nationwide races with Justin Algaier and Brad Keselowski behind the wheel.

3:05 PM: Happy Hour is underway…

3:55 PM: Clint Bowyer, Michael Waltrip, Jimmie Johnson, Reed Sorenson, Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon are your Top 5 as the final practice session for the Cup guys winds down. Other notables are Jeff Gordon in 6th, Tony Stewart in 12th, Kyle Busch in 15th and Denny Hamlin in 29th.

4:01 PM: Happy Hour just wrapped up and there were no incidents of note to report. It appeared most teams opted to work on qualifying as this is an impound race. Clint Bowyer was the fastest .
